The talk will look at the role of the de Havilland Aircraft Company during World War II.

The speaker will cover the company’s many achievements in the context of the life of its founder, Sir Geoffrey de Havilland; from his first flight in a home-built aeroplane in 1910 through the founding, just ten years later, of the company that bore his name.
